Frame to Frame Diffeomorphic Motion Analysis from Echocardiographic Sequences

چکیده
Quantitative motion analysis from echocardiography is an important yet challenging problem. We develop a motion estimation algorithm for echocardiographic image sequences based on diffeomorphic image registration in which the velocity field is spatiotemporally smooth. The novelty of this work is that instead of optimizing a functional of velocity field which consists of similarity metrics between a reference image to each of the following images (first-to-follow), we optimize a functional which is a sum of similarity metrics of each two consecutive images (frame-to-frame). This method can reduce the bias effect of using a single image as reference. It also improves registration accuracy since consecutive frames usually have higher dependency than frames far away. We validate our method by using both simulated images with known ground truth and in vivo pig heart images with sonomicrometry. Tests indicate that our frame-to-frame motion estimation method is more accurate than first-to-follow method.

Pseudo Zernike Moment-based Multi-frame Super Resolution
The goal of multi-frame Super Resolution (SR) is to fuse multiple Low Resolution (LR) images to produce one High Resolution (HR) image. The major challenge of classic SR approaches is accurate motion estimation between the frames. To handle this challenge, fuzzy motion estimation method has been proposed that replaces value of each pixel using the weighted averaging all its neighboring pixels i...
متن کاملCardiac motion analysis from ultrasound sequences using nonrigid registration: validation against Doppler tissue velocity.
Early detection of cardiac motion abnormalities is one of the main goals of quantitative cardiac image processing. This article presents a new method to compute the 2-D myocardial motion parameters from gray-scale 2-D echocardiographic sequences, making special emphasis on the validation of the proposed technique in comparison with Doppler tissue imaging. Myocardial motion is computed using a f...

AbstractObjective: To investigate the impact of respiratory motion on localization, and quantification lung lesions for the Gross Tumour Volume utilizing an in-house developed Auto3Dreg programme and dynamic NURBS-based cardiac-torso digitised phantom (NCAT). Methods: Respiratory motion may result in more than 30% underestimation of the SUV values of lung, liver and kidney tumour lesions. The m...
متن کاملExpansion of Bessel and g-Bessel sequences to dual frames and dual g-frames
In this paper we study the duality of Bessel and g-Bessel sequences in Hilbert spaces. We show that a Bessel sequence is an inner summand of a frame and the sum of any Bessel sequence with Bessel bound less than one with a Parseval frame is a frame. Next we develop this results to the g-frame situation.

This article deals with the free vibration analysis and determination of the seismic parameters of a sloping-frame which consists of three members; a horizontal, a vertical, and an inclined member. The both ends of the frame are clamped, and the members are rigidly connected at joint points. The individual members of the frame are assumed to be governed by the transverse vibration theory of an ...
